IETA Messages uses HTTPS in transit and authenticated encryption at rest.

AURA safety protection

Messages are checked before encryption for phone numbers, email addresses, external links, WhatsApp, Telegram and other attempts to bypass IETA protections. Prohibited content is blocked; repeated attempts may suspend access.

Conversation access

Only the two participants can open a thread. Limited authorised IETA personnel may access content for safety, support, fraud prevention, legal compliance or recovery. This is not end-to-end encryption because AURA safety screening operates before encrypted storage.

Photos, videos and documents

Attachments must be relevant, lawful and safe, and must not contain hidden contact details. Do not upload unnecessary identity documents, payment credentials or highly sensitive information.

Live location sharing

A live location share costs ₹49. The sender controls its duration and may stop it early; only conversation participants may view it. Do not use it for emergencies, stalking or coercion.

Retention and conduct

Conversation records may be retained for up to 24 months after last activity, unless needed longer for disputes, safety, fraud or legal obligations. Harassment, threats, discrimination, fraud, illegal sales, impersonation and spam are prohibited.

Users may report a conversation or contact IETA Support for help, access or deletion requests where applicable.
